Austin Convention Center Marshalling Yard and Warehouse

The Austin Convention Center hosts over 300 events per year. This new marshalling yard facility relieves the congested downtown site by providing an offsite staging area to reorganize prior to loading in at the convention center. The new facility includes a 30,000-sf mixed-use building containing warehouse and office space, as well as ample truck and passenger vehicle parking. The structural system is a concrete tilt-wall and structural steel frame with column loads supported by piers and an isolated soil-supported slab. The facility achieved LEED Gold Certification level.
