Consolidated Maintenance Facility New Campus

Structural Engineering

The ABIA Consolidated Maintenance Facility involves the development of a 15-acre tract of land into a single source for all the airport’s support services. The project consists of 10 different buildings that will include office space for administration and police units as well as maintenance support areas such as a motor pool, a warehouse, a truck wash, and vehicle maintenance & fueling facilities. Additional separate buildings will house the de-icing equipment and supplies used by the airport. The main cluster of buildings will be linked with covered walkways facilitating employee interaction as well as providing shading at the building perimeter. Most of the building structures will be pre-engineered metal buildings. The administration building structure is structural steel. The facility was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification level.
