Onion Creek Fire and Emergency Medical Service Facility

Structural Engineering

This project is a 9,000-sf. four-bay station. It is framed with wood at the living quarters and steel and concrete masonry at the apparatus bay. The station includes an office, day room, exercise space, kitchen and dining area, six dormitory rooms for Fire personnel plus two dormitory rooms for Emergency Medical Services personnel, laundry room, bathrooms, storage rooms, and mechanical equipment rooms. The apparatus bay houses three fire emergency vehicles and one Emergency Medical Services vehicle. The site also includes parking for personnel, bicycle racks and an above-ground fuel facility. This station was designed to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver rating.
