Pecan Springs Bus Shelter

This one-of-a-kind, highly used bus shelter in northeast Austin was commissioned through a partnership between Capital Metro and a nonprofit affordable housing developer. The bus shelter frame is structural steel, and all members were hand-bent in accordance with a 1:1 template created directly from JQ+Tsen’s structural analysis model. A special feature is the green roof which demonstrates concepts of sustainability.
