Town Lake Metro Park Seaholm Intake Facility Phase I

Structural Engineering

This project is the Phase 1 Renovation of the iconic 1950’s Seaholm Intake facility. This phase made the existing intake structure habitable for public use with seamless integration into the trail system as a future phase. The Seaholm Intake facility consists of (2) two-story concrete buildings that served as the pump house for the Seaholm Power Plant. A small CMU building is also on the site, that was built in the ~1980’s. The facility lies south of Cesar Chavez, along the Lady Bird Lake shoreline, within designated parkland. Seaholm Intake Facility Night Photo by Christina Bies.
